Settling down in xLog

  1. It has been almost 10 years since I entered the world of crypto. From the excitement of encountering Bitcoin to the joy of mining Dogecoin, I have experienced it all, from ignoring the innovation of Ethereum to mindlessly chasing various Ethereum clones. I have been through it all.
  2. I vaguely remember that since I learned to go online, I have come across many websites for writing articles. The earliest was the BBS forum, and then there was Sina Blog, and after the popularity of WeChat, its public accounts. Of course, it also includes those niche products, such as Jianshu, and that thing that Han Han created, I forgot, anyway, in the Web 2.0 era, being a writer was really not easy, there were many restrictions, you couldn't write this, that was censored, and when you finally wrote a good article with tens of thousands of views, you only received a few meager tips.
  3. I vaguely remember when Dogecoin was popular, around 2014. As a tipping currency, I had an idea that it could be used as a social currency with great potential. So I kept researching. At first, when I saw the total supply of 100 billion and no limit, I was really shocked. Now 100 billion is nothing, but at that time it was astronomical. You have to know that at that time, all altcoins were benchmarked against Bitcoin, including the total supply. So most altcoins had a small circulation, and Litecoins with 84 million were already considered a lot. Unfortunately, the bear market in 2015 changed everything.
  4. It should be said that the emergence of Ethereum changed everything. This smart contract platform successfully added various new features on top of Bitcoin, making it possible for blockchain-based writing platforms to exist, and bringing new traffic and wealth. The bull markets in 2017 and 2021 were actually based on the innovation brought by Ethereum. For writers, in the previous Web 2.0 era, due to various restrictions, they couldn't fully unleash their talents. But blockchain has unlocked the shackles for writers, making novel ideas possible. Of course, there are still psychological shackles that one needs to face.
  5. Although I don't know how this platform will develop in the future, at least there is a place to rest now. It doesn't feel good to fall from the top of the world, and not everyone has the courage to climb up from the ground. All I can say is, go with the flow and accept everything as the arrangement of fate. Each person is just a puppet of time.
